Your retail payment and your Caspar payment are always separate. When your customer pays you through Shopify, WooCommerce or Etsy, that money goes to you. Caspar deducts the production cost from your Credits balance independently. You keep the margin.
How to Top Up Your Credits
The whole process takes under two minutes. Minimum top-up is €50.
Go to Account › Credits and Sales
Log in to your Caspar account. In the top navigation, go to Account, then select Credits and Sales from the dropdown menu.
Enter the amount you want to top up
Type in the amount you'd like to add to your balance. The minimum top-up is €50. There is no maximum — top up as much as you need to cover your expected order volume.
A good starting point: estimate your average order value and multiply by the number of orders you expect over the next 2–4 weeks. That's a comfortable buffer without tying up unnecessary funds.
Choose your payment method
Select how you want to pay for this top-up — credit card, PayPal or other available payment methods. This is a one-time payment for the top-up amount, not a recurring charge.
Enable automatic order payment
Make sure the following option is checked before proceeding. This is what activates the automatic deduction for incoming orders:
If this box is not checked, Credits will be added to your account but orders will still require manual approval per order.
Click “Buy Credits”
Confirm the purchase. Your credit balance updates immediately and automatic order processing activates as soon as your next order arrives from your connected store.
You will receive a confirmation email and the top-up will appear as a transaction in your Credits and Sales history.

Do Credits activate immediately after I buy them?
Yes. Your credit balance updates immediately after purchase. Automatic order processing activates as soon as the next order arrives from your connected store.
What happens if my balance runs out mid-order?
If your credit balance is insufficient to cover an incoming order, that order switches to manual approval automatically. It will appear in your dashboard waiting for your approval. No order is ever lost — it simply waits until you either top up your Credits or manually confirm payment.
Do I need Credits to connect a store and receive orders?
No. You can connect your store and receive orders without Credits. The difference is that without Credits, every order requires manual approval and payment before production starts. Credits simply remove that step.
Can I top up Credits more than once?
Yes. You can top up as often as you like. There is no limit to how many times you can add to your balance. Each top-up is a separate transaction with a minimum of €50.
Does the automatic payment also apply to orders I place manually in the Caspar dashboard?
The automatic deduction applies specifically to orders received from an external system — i.e. your connected Shopify, WooCommerce or Etsy store. Orders you place manually in your dashboard still go through the standard checkout process.
Is there any fee to use Caspar Credits?
No. There is no fee to buy, hold or use Credits. The amount you top up is the amount available for production costs. No service charge, no conversion fee.
