Pigment printing on natural fabrics

Natural Fabrics — Pigment Printing

Kornit Presto delivers soft, breathable prints with water-based pigments on cotton, linen, and other plant-based textiles. Perfect for apparel, babywear, home textiles, and fabric-by-the-metre projects.

  • Water-based, OEKO-TEX® certified inks
  • Soft handfeel that preserves the fabric’s comfort
  • Vivid color that withstands repeated washing
  • On-demand workflow that avoids waste

Note: roll printing doesn’t use white ink — “white” areas show the fabric base.

How Pigment Printing Works

Fabric Preparation

The fabric is pre-treated so the pigments bond properly and colors stay vivid.

Digital Printing

Water-based pigment inks are printed directly onto the fabric surface with precision.

Heat Fixation

The printed fabric is cured with heat, locking in the colors without water or extra chemicals.

Ready for Shipping

The fabric is rolled and ready to use, with designs that stay bright wash after wash.

Sublimation printing on polyester

Synthetic Fabrics — Sublimation Printing

For polyester and blends, sublimation infuses dye into the fibers for ultra-bright color that won’t crack or peel and keeps the fabric lightweight and breathable.

  • High-definition color with excellent wash resistance
  • Print becomes part of the fabric
  • Ideal for activewear and technical apparel
  • Water-efficient, low-waste process

Note: roll printing doesn’t use white ink — “white” areas show the fabric base.

How Sublimation Works

Design Printing

Your design is first printed with special sublimation inks onto transfer paper.

Heat Transfer

The printed paper is placed on the fabric and exposed to high heat and pressure.

Ink Sublimation

Under heat, the inks turn into gas and bond with the polyester fibers on a molecular level.

Finished Fabric

The result is a vibrant, durable print that won’t crack, peel, or fade—even after many washes.
